Campaign Goal
To achieve this bold, forward-thinking vision, Giant Steps will leverage its expertise in the field and strong partnerships with business and philanthropic allies.
The Take a Giant Step for Autism campaign started its silent phase in March 2020 with the goal of raising $30.3 million in the private sector. We received a $18.7 million commitment from the Quebec Government. The total project cost is $53.4 million for the infrastructure and any additional funds collected will go towards our program and endowment fund.
Giant Steps has assembled a team of recognized businesspeople and seasoned professionals, most of them parents of a child on the spectrum, who are deeply committed to building a better future for the autism community. As a sign of their commitment, the parents have collectively pledged, to date, over $1.7 million to this transformational project. Along with the future sale of the current building, estimated at $3.25 million, our goal is within reach!
The community needs to stand together to support the creation of the Giant Steps Autism Centre. This centralized hub will impact people on the spectrum, their families, professionals and the community to finally improve the current service model.
Nothing is possible without your leadership and support, without your compassion and desire to make a difference in a rapidly growing community of autistic children and adults.
The autism community deserves more. We invite you to take a Giant Step for Autism and be part of the journey to deliver a better outcome for those living on the spectrum.
